Team News

Bangladesh

Bangladesh has no injury issues to deal with ahead of their clash against Sri Lanka. They have fielded the same group of eleven in each of their first three games and are expected to go unchanged for this game as well. Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar will continue to open the batting with Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim to bat at numbers three and four respectively. Shakib Al Hasan opened the bowling in the last match against England and it will be interesting to see whether he will be given the new ball again.

BAN Key Players

As always, Shakib Al Hasan will be the key man for Bangladesh with both bat and ball. With a century and two fifties in three matches, he is leading the CWC 2019 runs charts with 260 runs. He has also snared three wickets at a pretty good economy of 5.60.

Mushfiqur Rahim has also been among the runs. The wicketkeeper smashed 78 against South Africa and is coming off an impressive 44 against England. Tamim Iqbal and Mahmudullah are the other big guns in this batting unit.

Mohammad Saifuddin has been the pick of the Bangladeshi bowlers so far this World Cup with six wickets. The pacer took a couple last time against England and he will have to shoulder the responsibility of providing the early breakthroughs with skipper Mashrafe Mortaza.

Mehidy Hasan has taken five wickets and has been the least expensive of all the bowlers in the side at an economy of 5.26. Mustafizur Rahman is another one in this bowling group who can trouble the Sri Lankan batsmen with his deceptive pace variations.

BAN Recent Form

Bangladesh now has five wins and as many losses from the ten one-day internationals they have played so far this year. They are currently positioned eighth on the CWC 2019 points table with one win and two defeats from their first three league matches.

They began their campaign in an emphatic fashion, stunning South Africa by 21 runs in their opening fixture at London before suffering two consecutive defeats - against New Zealand at the same venue and then against hosts England at Cardiff by a huge margin of 106 runs.

Bangladesh Squad:

Tamim Iqbal, Liton Das, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim(w), Soumya Sarkar, Sabbir Rahman, Mehidy Hasan, Mahmudullah, Mashrafe Mortaza(c), Mustafizur Rahman, Rubel Hossain, Mohammad Saifuddin, Mohammad Mithun, Abu Jayed, Mosaddek Hossain

Playing 11:

Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Mohammad Mithun, Mahmudullah, Mosaddek Hossain, Mohammad Saifuddin, Mehidy Hasan, Mashrafe Mortaza (c), Mustafizur Rahman

SriLanka

Sri Lanka fast bowler Nuwan Pradeep has been ruled out of their match against Bangladesh on Tuesday in Bristol after he suffered a hard blow to his bowling hand at training on Sunday. He was taken to the hospital where it emerged that he suffered "a dislocation and a cut in his small finger on his bowling arm," and "he will need a week's time to recover from the injury," according to SLC*.

Sri Lanka has a replacement ready if Pradeep is forced out of the World Cup. Kasun Rajitha, the 26-year-old right-arm quick, has been traveling with the squad as a standby player.

SL Key Players

The opening pair of Dimuth Karunaratne and Kusal Perera will hold the key to Sri Lanka's batting. Both batsmen have had a good hit in this World Cup - Karunaratne struck an unbeaten fifty against New Zealand while Perera scored 78 against Afghanistan. The team's batting also relies heavily on Kusal Mendis and Angelo Mathews.

The former has managed just two runs so far while the latter has returned two ducks in as many innings. Sri Lanka will dearly need these two to step up and score some runs.

With Nuwan Pradeep unfit for this game, Sri Lanka's bowling will depend primarily on the likes of Lasith Malinga, Suranga Lakmal and Thisara Perera.

Malinga and Lakmal will probably start the proceedings with the new ball and the onus will be on them to dent Bangladesh with a few early strikes. Malinga showed promising signs last time with a three-wicket haul, and with conditions expected to be overcast, the veteran will pose a major threat to the batsmen.

SL Recent Form

Sri Lanka has played eleven completed one-day internationals this year out of which they have won just two and lost the rest. They now have three points from the three matches they have played in the ongoing World Cup and are currently placed fifth in the league standings.

After being blown away by New Zealand in their campaign opener at Cardiff, Sri Lanka outplayed Afghanistan in a rain-curtailed encounter at the same ground. Their previous match against Pakistan at Bristol, which is the venue for this game as well, had to be called off due to rain without a ball bowled.

SriLanka Squad:

Sri Lanka (From): Lahiru Thirimanne, Dimuth Karunaratne(c), Kusal Perera(w), Kusal Mendis, Angelo Mathews, Dhananjaya de Silva, Jeevan Mendis, Thisara Perera, Isuru Udana, Suranga Lakmal, Lasith Malinga, Avishka Fernando, Jeffrey Vandersay, Nuwan Pradeep, Milinda Siriwardana

Playing 11:

imuth Karunaratne (c), Kusal Perera (wk), Lahiru Thirimanne, Kusal Mendis, Angelo Mathews, Dhananjaya de Silva, Thisara Perera, Jeevan Mendis, Isuru Udana, Suranga Lakmal, Lasith Malinga

South Africa

With three matches already done and dusted and Proteas struggling with injuries, the problems do not seem to end for them. Their premier pace bowler, Dale Steyn, has already been ruled out of the tournament due to a shoulder injury and with Ngidi too struggling with fitness, their bowling is now left to be merely a shadow of what they were like coming into the tournament.

South Africa has so far lost three out of three matches played and another win here would need them to win all their remaining five matches so as to have even a mathematical chance to qualify.

Their performance was downright poor in the first two matches in all the departments of the game, including fielding, but they would take heart from the way their bowlers went about their business against India.

Their batting, however, has been found struggling in all their matches. Twice they've succumbed to pressure while chasing whereas Indian bowlers got better of them in the third ODI. Barring Faf du Plessis, no batsmen have looked settled at the crease for them which is definitely a cause of concern for their management.

The likes of Quinton de Kock, David Miller, and Hashim Amla would have to use their experience and bail them out of the trouble with a win in their upcoming fixture. One thing which is going for them is that they bat deep, but that could only be useful if their batsmen contribute something substantial.

With Tabraiz Shamsi not be as effective as they'd have wanted him to be and conditions likely to suit quicker bowlers, Beuaran Hendricks might be drafted into playing eleven. Apart from that, the Proteas are expected to continue with the same set of players they fielded in the last match.

Africa Squad:

Hashim Amla, Quinton de Kock, Faf du Plessis, Rassie van der Dussen, David Miller, Jean-Paul Duminy, Andile Phehlukwayo, Chris Morris, Kagiso Rabada, Imran Tahir, Tabraiz Shamsi, Beuran Hendricks, Dwaine Pretorius, Aiden Markram

Probable Playing 11: Hashim Amla/Aiden Markram, Quinton de Kock (wk), Faf du Plessis (c), Rassie van der Dussen, JP Duminy, David Miller, Chris Morris, Andile Phehlukwayo, Kagiso Rabada, Tabraiz Shamsi/Beuran Hendricks, Imran Tahir

West Indies

Embed from Getty Images

West Indies played like themselves in the last match and they only have themselves to blame where they failed to draw two important points after being in control for the most part of the fixture. So far their quick bowlers have bowled like we used to see in the 70s and 80s era, their bowling in the middle overs has oozed mediocrity and lack of experience.

Despite posting above-average performance in the two matches, they've done reasonably well up until now and would be happier of the two sides coming into the upcoming match. Their batsmen have done well with Chris Gayle, Evin Lewis, Shai Hope, and Nicholas Pooran being amongst the runs. Having said that, they all have failed to take responsibility of taking them through which was apparent against Australia as well.

West Indies have played with typical Caribbean flair and have been fearless in their approach - which also backfired in their last match. The likes of Chris Gayle and Evin Lewis can be devastating at the top and with Andre Russell available to bat at number seven, they bat as deep as any side in the tournament, barring the hosts.

While their batting has taken all the credit much largely due to the flamboyance and the fearless attitude, their bowlers have been unsung heroes for them in both the matches. They first restricted Pakistan to a total which their batsmen would chase down 99 times out of 100 on any surface on the world. In their second game, they reduced the Australians to 79 for 5, before they released the string and allowed Australia to claw back.

All in all, West Indies have so far looked like a lethal outfit which can get past even the best in the business on their day. It's surprising to see that considering that they struggled to even qualify for the World Cup almost a year ago. Considering the way they're going in the tournament, it's not going to be easy for any team to get past them.

West Indies Squad:

Shai Hope (wk), Jason Holder (c), Chris Gayle, Evin Lewis, Nicholas Pooran, Shimron Hetmyer, Andre Russell, Carlos Brathwaite, Ashley Nurse, Sheldon Cottrell, Oshane Thomas, Darren Bravo, Shannon Gabriel, Kemar Roach, Fabian Allen

Probable Playing 11: Chris Gayle, Evin Lewis, Shai Hope (wk), Nicholas Pooran, Shimron Hetmyer, Jason Holder (c), Andre Russell, Carlos Brathwaite, Ashley Nurse, Sheldon Cotrell, Oshane Thomas

Here Are Some Pictures Of Indian Cricket Team

After a belated entry into the World Cup, it was smooth sailing for India as they got the better of South Africa in Southampton by six wickets.

Rohit Sharma was the star of the show with a magnificent ton and was given great support by some of the other batsmen.

Australia like India have been rampant and come into the match with two wins out of two at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

India Vs Australia Dream 11 Tips

Match No: 14

Venue: Kennington Oval, London

Weather: There has been some rain around in London but the weather is expected to favorable on match day.

Pitch:  The pitch at the Oval is very flat usually but it has been a little slower than usual so far. Still, England managed to post a 300 plus total here as did Bangladesh. Another high-scoring match looks to be in store and I would think that 320 is a par-total for the venue.

Team News

India

Given Australia's troubles against the short ball against West Indies, India could look to bring Mohammed Shami - who can hurry batsmen with the bouncer, as he showed during a six-wicket haul in the Perth Test in December - into their attack.

Squad: Virat Kohli (c), MS Dhoni (wk), Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Lokesh Rahul, Hardik Pandya, Kedar Jadhav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah, Vijay Shankar, Dinesh Karthik, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami

Playing 11: 1 Rohit Sharma, 2 Shikhar Dhawan, 3 Virat Kohli (capt), 4 KL Rahul, 5 MS Dhoni (wk), 6 Kedar Jadhav, 7 Hardik Pandya, 8 Bhuvneshwar Kumar, 9 Kuldeep Yadav, 10 Jasprit Bumrah, 11 Yuzvendra Chahal

Bench: Vijay Shankar, Dinesh Karthik, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami

Australia

Australia has played the same XI in both their games so far, and though some of their players haven't hit top form just yet, there isn't a compelling reason to make any changes just yet.

Squad: Aaron Finch (c), Alex Carey (wk), David Warner, Usman Khawaja, Steven Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa, Shaun Marsh, Kane Richardson, Jason Behrendorff, Nathan Lyon

Playing 11: 1 David Warner, 2 Aaron Finch (capt), 3 Usman Khawaja, 4 Steven Smith, 5 Glenn Maxwell, 6 Marcus Stoinis, 7 Alex Carey (wk), 8 Nathan Coulter-Nile, 9 Pat Cummins, 10 Mitchell Starc, 11 Adam Zampa

Bench:  Shaun Marsh, Kane Richardson, Jason Behrendorff, Nathan Lyon

How to choose

The Dream 11 team for India vs Australia ICC World Cup 2019 match is made assuming that all the players on both sides are fit and available to play. The forecast for the match is pretty decent and I should be able to see a high-scoring contest. The conditions up front, though, maybe a bit difficult to face and that should be taken into consideration as well.

Wicketkeeper: MS Dhoni has been batting quite well in the ICC World Cup 2019 so far and could play an important role in this match. He has also been at the heart of controversy regarding an army insignia on his gloves, something that may motivate him to make a statement with his bat on the field.

Batsmen: There are some tremendous batsmen that are available for selection in this match. I have tried to pick as many as our points budget will allow. David Warner, Steve Smith, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Lokesh Rahul all make it into our side.

I have left out Aaron Finch and Shikhar Dhawan from the list, even though both of the batsmen are very dangerous when they get going.

Warner has had a lot of success in the IPL recently and is very well versed with the Indian bowling attack. He has been one of the most successful batsmen in ODI cricket over the last few years and is in good form. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli love playing against Australia and will relish the challenge of scoring runs against the Australian fast bowlers.

Rohit Sharma scored a century in the previous match and I won’t be surprised if Virat Kohli scores on in this match as well. Lokesh Rahul is playing at a very important position at number 4, same as Steve Smith, and both of them should be able to score some runs as well.

All-rounders: I have picked Marcus Stoinis and Kedar Jadhav from this category. Both these players are good with the bat and will definitely bowl a few overs also. Hardik Pandya and Glenn Maxwell were available but the expensive batsmen picked meant that a few compromises had to be made.

Bowlers: I believe that the two best fast bowlers in the world are playing this match. Jasprit Bumrah and Mitchell Starc have had a huge impact in the cricket world cup already and are a must to have in your Dream11 team. Nathan Coulter-Nile did not have a great time in the previous match with the ball but his record against India is fantastic. Any runs that he scores are going to be a bonus also.

Captain and Vice-Captain: I have decided to pick Virat Kohli as captain and David Warner as vice-captain for this match.

Afghanistan:

Noor Ali Zadran could come into the side at the top of the order to replace Shahzad while Ikram Ali Khil, a lower order player, will have to be included to take the gloves. Whichever way they go, they may be left with just five frontline bowlers.

Match No: 12

Venue: Sophia Gardens, Cardiff

Umpires: Joel Wilson, Kumar Dharmasena

Third Umpire: Bruce Oxenford

Match Referee: David Boon

Weather: It has been raining in Cardiff since Thursday evening, right the way through Friday and, if the forecast stays true, will grace Saturday morning as well. As a result of the weather, neither captain has had a look at the pitch which will mean the exact make-up of playing XIs will only be finalized once the covers are pulled back and the surface for this match sees daylight for the first time in almost two days.

Pitch: Generally a high-scoring ground, conditions look set to keep the scoreboard in check. The Sophia Gardens stadium was seamer-friendly in the opening two games. The rain has forced the pitch to be under covers the last couple of days too, so that could have a bearing on the way it plays.

Dream11 Tips and Tricks

Wicketkeeping:

It will be a tricky choice to pick between the two solid keepers – Jos Buttler and Mushfiqur Rahim. But Buttler’s ability and experience against the top teams will give him a slight edge over Rahim.

Batting:

The likes of Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan, Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudullah and Rahim are enough to instill fear in the minds of opposition bowlers. These batters can easily walk into any fantasy XI in the world.

Bowling:

Rated as genuine wicket-takers in any form of cricket – Jofra Archer and Liam Plunkett is a necessity for any fantasy team in the world. They can be well supported by Bangladesh’s left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman. Utility spinner Mehidy Hasan can also be picked as a spinning option.

My Dream XI Team

Jonny Bairstow, Jos Buttler, Tamim Iqbal, Joe Root, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Jofra Archer, Mustafizur Rahman, Ben Stokes, Mehidy Hasan, and Liam Plunkett.

Pakistan Vs SriLanka My Dream 11 Team

Pakistan Vs SriLanka My Dream 11 Team

Match No: 11

Venue: County Ground, Bristol

Weather: There is a 90% chance for rain, putting the game in jeopardy.

Pitch report: WestIndies Scored 421 on this pitch during warmup matches. Pakistan scored 358 in an ODI last month. So this is a high scoring pitch.

Team News:

Pakistan:

Pakistan reports a fully fit squad. Having just topped the tournament favorites and hosts England, there's a good chance they will go into the game unchanged. Shoaib Malik appears to have been pushed to the fringes of the playing XI in his last World Cup, not picked for one game and then pushed to No.7 for the next. But he and Mohammad Hafeez will continue to replace Imad Wasim - the bowler.

Probable XI: Imam-ul-Haq, Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, Mohammad Hafeez, Sarfaraz Ahmed (c&wk), Shoaib Malik, Asif Ali, Shadab Khan, Wahab Riaz, Hasan Ali, Mohammad Amir

Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is likely to enforce one, if not two, changes. Jeevan Mendis will provide the insurance for their misfiring middle-order, which is likely to push Suranga Lakmal to the bench. If the game is shortened at the start, expect young Avishka Fernando to replace Lahiru Thirimanne.

Probable XI: Dimuth Karunaratne (c), Kusal Perera (wk), Lahiru Thirimanne/Avishka Fernando, Kusal Mendis, Angelo Mathews, Dhananjaya de Silva, Jeevan Mendis, Thisara Perera, Isuru Udana, Nuwan Pradeep, Lasith Malinga

Players to Watch:

Pakistan: Babar Azam, Imam-ul-Haq, Imad Wasim, Mohammad Amir.

SriLanka: Kusal Mendis, Kusal Perera, Lasith  Malinga, Nuwan Pradeep.

Dream 11 Team

How to pick
  • So according to the weather report, there might be a chance of 90% to get rain in the First Innings itself. So pick top order Batsman and Fast bowlers. If there is rain there could be a reduction in overs. So the match can go up to 35 Overs or below.
  • If You considering the Pitch report, there is a huge chance of getting an average score of 330 to 350 if everything goes right. Pakistan batting line up is better than Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is suffering in Middle order.
  • As you can change your team until the match starts to consider for Toss.
  • Choose a Pakistan top Order Batsman, Middle Order, Wicketkeeper, one All Rounder, two Bowlers. (maybe three there Bowlers) There is a huge chance of Sri Lanka getting All-out.
  • Choose a SriLanka Top Order only because middle order is so weak. If the Top Order Loose wickets early in the first Five overs the Sri Lankans will be under huge Pressure.
  • Definitely choose two Wicketkeepers from either of the teams. Sri Lanka might bowl short balls like west indies.
