After Josh Hazelwood opted out of the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League due to bio-bubble fatigue, Chennai Super Kings signed Jason Behrendorff replacing Josh.
This 21-year-old Australian player has a decent bowling record in the T-20 format. In the seven matches he played, he picked seven wickets and has an economy under eight.
His debut T-20 match was against India in Ranchi on 7th October 2017, In the second T-20 match on 10th of October 2017, he picked 4 wickets just by giving 21 runs.
He got Rohit Sharma, Shikar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, and Manish Pandey's wicket in that match. Here is the scorecard of that match. He also played for the Mumbai Indians in the 2019 edition of IPL.
I would say, he is an excellent in-experienced left-arm bowler. As there is no reputed fast bowler who can deliver their best at the death overs for CSK, Jason would be the man for the job.
